Obama Wants to Kill the Coal Industry in America

Senator Obama wants to kill the coal industry in the United States.  He's stated it himself as has Joe Biden.  It is also interesting to note that Obama plans to use the power of the government itself to punish anyone who wants to be involved in coal production.  This is a dangerous move.  It is not the government's job to decide which industries should live and die.  It is also important to note that many of our states depend on the coal industry: Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Texas, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and Montana.  Coal also contributes almost 50% of power produced in the United States.  Until we are able to find alternative energies (and jobs for those who work in the coal industry) it is foolhardy and counter-productive (understatement of the year) to attempt to destroy this important industry.
