Feed the Terrorists - They Need Strength to Fire Rockets into Israel

This tweet from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson caught my eye:
#Hamas pounds #Israel w/rockets; Thurs. Israel sent 263 truckloads w/goods into #Gaza for #Palestinian Pop. & sending more today #IDF
Why? Why is Israel sending tons of "goods" into Gaza?

Rockets are being sent into Israel indiscriminately, over a hundred in the last 3 days - people are being hurt and murdered - and Israel is sending goods into Gaza? It's almost a bad joke.

Does Israel think that sending goods into Gaza is going to make them our friends? We know it isn't going to happen. In fact, a poll of "Palestinians" in the "West Bank" and the Gaza Strip published last month proves the point.
Respondents were asked about US President Barack Obama’s statement that “there should be two states: Palestine as the homeland for the Palestinian people and Israel as the homeland for the Jewish people.”

Just 34% said they accepted that concept, while 61% rejected it.

Sixty-six percent said the Palestinians’ real goal should be to start with a two-state solution but then move to it all being one Palestinian state.

Asked about the fate of Jerusalem, 92% said it should be the capital of Palestine, 1% said the capital of Israel, 3% the capital of both, and 4% a neutral international city.

Seventy-two percent backed denying the thousands of years of Jewish history in Jerusalem, 62% supported kidnapping IDF soldiers and holding them hostage, and 53% were in favor or teaching songs about hating Jews in Palestinian schools.

When given a quote from the Hamas Charter about the need for battalions from the Arab and Islamic world to defeat the Jews, 80% agreed. Seventy-three percent agreed with a quote from the charter (and a hadith, or tradition ascribed to the prophet Muhammad) about the need to kill Jews hiding behind stones and trees.

So basically, these "people" are all for the kidnapping and murdering of Jews and establishing "Palestine" in all of what is Israel today. Yup, sending tons of goods into Gaza is going to do a lot for this relationship. What a waste.

I just don't get it. This is beyond comprehension. These "Palestinians" are bound and determined to destroy the Jewish People and we're trucking in "goods" as good will gestures. They must be laughing at us. How stupid are the Jews?

Come September when these wonderful, "peaceful" and tolerant people come to the United Nations to ask for a state - I'm sure they'll remember the good ole' days when the Jews were trucking in "goods" to help them out... even while they were sending rockets raining down on Ashkelon and Be'er Sheva. I'm sure that they really care.

It's amazing that some still assume that the "Palestinians" in the "West Bank" are somehow different than the ones in Gaza. Again, remember that this poll includes both groups... and again, remember that Fatah in the West Bank and Hamas in Gaza are already in unity talks - which means that the United Nations will be thrilled to announce new terrorist states in the West Bank and in Gaza as well. Another bad joke.

Since the "Palestinians" have decided to forgo all negotiations and treaties signed with Israel - Israel should say that all is null and void. It's time to annex Judea/Samaria (aka the West Bank) and end the Arab occupation of Jewish land. We have a 3000 year history the Arabs do not respect or recognize. If those Arabs living in Judea/Samaria cannot handle living in a Jewish State - they are welcome to leave. No one is stopping them.

And as it's said - don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Muslims Need a Sense of Humor

Not that I find David Letterman funny, I don't. But it looks like he's offended the Muslims.
The new threat comes from a frequent poster on Islamic jihadist forums, Umar al Basrawi, who implored American Muslims to "cut the tongue of this lowly Jew and shut it forever," according to the Middle East Media Research Institute, a non-profit that monitors online jihadists.

The New York Post reports Letterman, who isn’t Jewish, became the object of al-Basrawi’s ire when the late-night funnyman told a joke about the death of Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda’s search for his replacement.

It seems that the Muslims don't have a sense of humor and can't laugh at themselves. Remember how South Park creators got a not so subtle death threat?
Cognizant that Islam forbids the depiction of its holiest prophet, Mr. Stone and Mr. Parker showed their “South Park” characters agonizing over how to bring Muhammad to their fictional Colorado town. At first the character said to be Muhammad is confined to a U-Haul trailer, and is heard speaking but is not shown. Later in the episode the character is let out of the trailer, dressed in a bear costume.

The next day the “South Park” episode was criticized by the group Revolution Muslim in a post at its Web site, revolutionmuslim.com. The post, written by a member named Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee, said the episode “outright insulted” the prophet, adding: “We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid, and they will probably wind up like Theo van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.”

Mr. van Gogh, a Dutch filmmaker and a critic of religions including Islam, was killed by an Islamic militant in Amsterdam in 2004 after he made a film that discussed the abuse of Muslim women in some Islamic societies.

And let's not forget those Muhammed political cartoons that "sparked" riots across the world back in 2005.

But anyone without a sense of humor scares me. Muslims have no sense of humor. We've all heard Jewish jokes, Christian jokes (all denominations) - anyone with a Muslim joke out there?

Republican Debate Tonight 9pm

Tonight is the Republican debate on Fox News.

Conventional wisdom is that they're all going to stand up there and bash Obama - which will be fun, but that's not what I'm going to be looking for. I know that I'm not voting for Obama - what are these candidates going to offer me? Who are they? What are they going to do for the country?

Someone needs to stand out from the pack and get my attention. For the most part they all look the same to me. I still can't figure out which one is Rick Santorum and which one is Tim Pawlenty. Every time I think I've got them straight, I find out that I'm wrong.

The upshot is that this election is ABO - Anyone But Obama. That being said, I'd still like to hear some real ideas and solutions.

Bring on the debate!

Run Hillary Run!

Democrats doubt Barack Obama's reelection chances
Finding it hard to defend his often listless and repetitive performances, Democratic strategists and commentators are privately agreeing with Republicans and comparing Mr Obama to Jimmy Carter, another Democrat who remains the post-war benchmark for a failed president....

Mr [Morris] Reid added that the president remained a formidable campaigner and fund-raiser and should not be ruled out of the fight in 2012. But he said some Democrats were feeling "buyer's remorse" for selecting the president in his epic battle with Mrs Clinton for the 2008 Democratic nomination.

"The notion everyone is talking about is 'is he Jimmy Carter or will he be a one-term president'," he said....

Mr Obama's approval rating has fallen dramatically since the killing of Osama bin Laden in early May, and he has failed to outline a vision for how he will improve chronic unemployment and a housing market in which one if five mortgage holders are in negative equity.

A 2012 primary challenge by Mrs Clinton is currently regarded as unlikely, but growing number of party activists and old hands are hoping that she changes her mind....

An article in the New York Times by Drew Westen, a professor of psychology at Emory University and a specialist in political messaging, summarised the dismay at Mr Obama's performance and was rapidly circulated online by liberals.

"Those of us who were bewitched by his eloquence on the campaign trail chose to ignore some disquieting aspects of his biography: that he had accomplished very little before he ran for president," he wrote.

It's incredible that the Democrats are just figuring this out. Obama was a nobody before he ran for President. They were excited about about how articulate and "magical" he was. They were excited about being able to vote for a black man, no matter his resume.

But here we are four years later and they've had time to think about how "hope and change" has been working out - maybe they'll give Hillary another shot?

Hillary for President?

The "Moderate" vs. "Extreme" Terrorists

Here we go... Terrorist Group No. 1 is in talks with Terrorist Group No. 2.
Representatives of Fatah and Hamas agreed on Sunday to a mutual release of political prisoners, Palestinian news agency Ma’an reported.

Fatah’s Azza al-Ahmad and Hamas’s Mousa Abu Marzouk met in Cairo on Sunday in an attempt to rekindle reconciliation talks that hit a snag in July when the two parties could not agree on the formation of a unified government.

Fatah, the ruling faction of the Palestinian Authority (PA), is in talks with the well established terrorist organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip. If the PA are supposed to be the "moderates" and Hamas are the "extremists" what does this tell us?

Are the "moderates" of the Palestinian Authority and the "extremists" of Hamas different than each other? In what way? Hamas is clear - Israel must be destroyed. The PA claims it only wants a state. Is the creation of another Arab state just a stepping stone toward the destruction of Israel?

Looking at the Palestinian Authority's revised charter we have to wonder if anything has really changed. While the terms "Israel", "Zionist" and other similar words are no longer included in the charter - it begins with these statements:
Revolution is our path to freedom, independence, and construction
It is a revolution until victory

It goes on to say:
This internal charter has been adopted within the framework of adherence to the provisions of the Basic Charter.

In reality, this "new" Palestinian Charter is an addendum to the Basic Charter - which includes the destruction of Israel.
Article (19) Armed struggle is a strategy and not a tactic, and the Palestinian Arab People's armed revolution is a decisive factor in the liberation fight and in uprooting the Zionist existence, and this struggle will not cease unless the Zionist state is demolished and Palestine is completely liberated.

How is this different from from the new charter?
You must prepare yourself to inspire the spirit of organized revolutionary work in every Arab soul that is sincere to Palestine and that believes in its liberation. Let us train ourselves to be patient and to face ordeals, bear calamities, sacrifice our souls, blood, time and effort.

Fatah is the armed wing of the Palestinian Authority. We see what their interests are by their symbol.

Their background includes a map of the whole of Israel - not the so called West Bank or just the Gaza Strip. Of course the additions of the machine guns and a grenade are nice touches.

The Hamas charter is not much different from the PA Basic Charter.
The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Muslim generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up.... There is no solution to the Palestinian problem except by Jihad.... "I swear by the holder of Mohammed's soul that I would like to invade and be killed for the sake of Allah, then invade and be killed, and then invade again and be killed." (As related by al-Bukhari and Muslim).

Take a look at the Hamas flag.

Compare the Hamas and the PA flags - both have the whole of Israel on their flags. Both believe that "from the river to the sea Palestine will be free". Both believe in jihad and "liberation" through the murder of Jews.

Tell me again what differentiates the "moderates" from the "extremists" exactly?

30 US Soldiers Dead

It was a sad weekend for all of us keeping up with the news.
Thirty U.S. soldiers -- some from the Navy's special forces SEAL Team 6, the unit that killed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden -- seven Afghans and an interpreter died in Friday night's crash, just two weeks after foreign troops began a security handover to Afghan forces.

We salute these brave soldiers who lost their lives trying to help those in Afghanistan and protecting us here at home. We also pray for their families who paid the ultimate price.

Israel and the Art of Self-Preservation

It has finally happened.
In a dramatic policy shift, Israel's prime minister has agreed to negotiate the borders of a Palestinian state based on the cease-fire line that marks off the West Bank, a TV station reported Monday.

In other words - Israel will go back to pre-1967 borders before the Arab World attacked it. Why? Supposedly this offer will stop the "Palestinians" from going to the United Nations and unilaterally proclaiming a state.

It's truly amazing to me. Jews are supposedly a smart people. We have Nobel Prize laureates in biomedical, chemistry, economics, physics and literature reaching back more than 100 years. No one out there doubts that Jews have excelled in all areas - except, I would argue, one. Self-preservation when we are responsible for it.

G-d preserved the Jewish People in exile for more than 3000 years in order to return us to the Land of Israel in order to create the modern state. And here we are in 2011 being blackmailed into giving away our inheritance.

If we had a guarantee that these lands wouldn't be used as a launching pad to attack Tel Aviv, Jerusalem or Be'er Sheva - we could conceivably assume that returning to a 9 mile wide border might possibly be a gamble that we would be willing to take. But there are no guarantees and we know what assuming gets us.

Considering the "Arab Spring" that sprung a few months ago, we have seen the Middle East neighborhood change - and not for the better. Iran is showing more influence in the region than they ever did before. The Gaza Strip - an experiment in "Palestinian" self-rule is a disaster. Rockets from Iran still rain daily upon civilian populations within Israel. Syria, a close ally of Iran, still supports Hezbollah in Lebanon - attacking Israel from the north. Egypt is no longer the close friend it used to be under Hosni Mubarak (not a pleasant fellow, but Israel could trust him). The military running Egypt allowed Iranian ships through the Suez Canal into the Mediterranean Sea for the first time. They no longer attempt to control what weapons come into the Gaza Strip through the smuggling tunnels. As Egypt gets ready for their first real election in years we wonder about the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood as they are being allowed to join in the process.

The Middle East is a scary place for a little democracy full of Jews and other minorities. The Arab Middle East is a vast 6,145,389 square miles (the USA has about 3.8 million sq.miles) while Israel has under 8,000 square miles which doesn't include Gaza, Judea/Samaria or the Golan Heights (which doesn't improve the numbers by much). Israel is tiny.

The "Palestinians" still do not recognize Israel as a "Jewish" state and they never will because they don't believe that the Jews have any right to be there. When they are unable to acknowledge a "Jewish" state, it proves the point that it is not 'Zionism' as they proclaim to be the problem - but Jews and Judaism as the problem.

The point is not that the "Palestinians" need a "homeland" - they don't. It is that they don't want the Jews to have a homeland period. The Arab World could have solved the "Palestinian" question years ago - they have the money and the space. They didn't want to - why should they? The "Palestinians" are a thorn in Israel's side - a way to delegitimize the Jewish State, branding the Jews as usurpers when in truth it is the other way.

When Israel accepts the pre-1967 "Auschwitz" borders as a precondition for negotiations with people who are unable to recognize her existence as a Jewish state, when they themselves will unapologetically proclaim another Muslim state, it is mind boggling. When Israel accepts a 9 mile wide border as a precondition when surrounded by people who hate and wish them dead, it is mind boggling. When Israel hopes that proclaiming the pre-1967 borders as a legitimate starting point for negotiations in the hope that the United Nations, full of dictators and rogue states, will not recognize a new "Palestinian" terrorist state - it is mind boggling.

One hopes that G-d, who has protected the Jewish People over the last 3000 years to bring us to today, will again look kindly upon us and save us from ourselves.
